Yates Mill PTA Projects and Initiatives

Air Purifiers

The PTA is here to support the Yates Mill community in its efforts to keep our children healthy and learning in school. We have two initiatives that we are currently working on to help achieve these goals:

The PTA purchased 5 Coway Airmega 300 series air purifiers last week and installed them in the following areas:

• Front Office
• Media Center
• Art Room 
• Music Room
• Gym

Due to the volume of foot traffic from both staff and students, we felt these 5 spaces would benefit the most from having a unit installed. Our goal as a PTA is to continue the fundraising efforts to install more units in the school. Outdoor Learning and Eating Area

Our second project that we are working on is creating outdoor learning/eating spaces for our students. Having naturally shaded spaces available for our teachers will help our students get fresh air throughout the day. We will be making 20 wooden desks like the one pictured below to be installed outside the school for daily use by the staff. We will keep you posted if we need any help building and installing the desks!
