Rental Costs & Details 

• $15 for a 2-day rental
• You may reserve any two consecutive days, including Friday + Monday.
• If you'd like additional days, please reserve them in 2-day increments and pay accordingly (e.g. 4 days = $30).
• After selecting your dates, payment is due immediately; unpaid reservations will be released.
• Payment options:  Venmo @YMESPTA or online through our MemberHub store.
• Reservations are first-come, first-served.

Rules & Guidelines

• Eligibility: you must be a YMES parent, guardian, grandparent, faculty/staff member, or PTA member to rent the Spirit Rock.
• Painting Responsibilities: It is your responsibility to paint the rock.  Please bring all paint and supplies needed to create your message. 
• Protecting the Area: Bring a plastic drop cloth to protect the ground around the rock, along with water and soap for cleanup. the school building cannot be accessed while painting.  
• Painting Times: You may begin painting at 4:15 PM the day before your reservation. If someone has reserved the rock immediately after you, they may begin painting over your design at 4:15 PM on the last day of your reservation.  
• Message Expectations: All messages must be appropriate for an elementary school community and follow our FROGS expectations. Any messages deemed inappropriate will be painted over without notice, and future rental privileges will be revoked.

Painting Tips 

• We recommend using spray paint or outdoor-grade paint. Craft paint will fade and wash away quickly. 
• It will take 1-2 cans of spray paint to cover the previous design, depending on color. Plan on at least two light coats. 
• Budget spray paint works great- there's no need to buy expensive brands.
• Remember that latex paint dries more slowly. Several light coats of spray paint will dry faster and make painting easier.
• Don’t forget to bring water, soap and paper towels for cleanup.
